RELIGIOUSEDUCATION |
The mission of our religious education program is to enable the children, youth and adults to respond to life’s significant spiritual questions and celebrate life in a caring religious community. A caregiver welcomes our youngest churchgoers to the nursery each Sunday from 10:15 am to 12:00 noon for nurturing, supervised playtime. School age children attend worship service on Sunday with their parents and are dismissed from the sanctuary to church school classes. Our program rotates on a three-year cycle, and focuses on Unitarian Universalism, Jewish-Christian Heritage and world religions. The Junior Unitarian Universalist Maturational Progression (JUUMP) program is a coming of age experience for those in the 7th grade or older. Youth learn more about Unitarian Universalism, their church and community, while working on developing behaviors and self identity which are more adult in context. Adult religious enrichment programs are offered by our minister or interested members of our congregation. |
