A colleague of mine made a bold assertion once, followed by a tough question. The assertion: We all serve one god or another - ambition, greed, fear perhaps. Having an official God can blind us form gods we really serve. The tough question of course, is what gods do we serve and can we cultivate other loyalties? Rev. Douglas Gallager
